A review of a software tool's affiliate program, written in 2024 and updated annually with current commission rates, will continue attracting search traffic and generating commissions in 2026 and 2027. A news article about a specific product announcement generates traffic for days or weeks and then goes cold. The compounding economics of affiliate marketing — where a one-time content investment produces ongoing income — depend almost entirely on targeting evergreen topics.
